WHO IS QUIDAN KAISAHAN?
Quidan Kaisahan Inc is a non-government organization that serves the poorest of the poor in Negros Occidental in the Philippines. Quidan facilitates community-based skills, policy and knowledge training to empower the unreached and underserved members of our community. We work together with communities and government for genuine participation in decision-making as we strive for a Negros with no more child labor, where all children have the right to education and individuals have financial independence.
Quidan envisions rural communities in Negros Occidental that are free, just and peaceful. There is equal access to opportunities, cultural identity and citizens' honor is upheld, and respect for all creation is promote.
Quidan commits to reducing poverty in the rural villages of Negros Occidental. We work with the rural leaders and volunteers, local government units, community-based organizations, duty bearers, other private sectors and like-minded organizations to expand their knowledge, skills and networks; and develop community mechanisms and systems that promote participation in governance, reduce poverty, and improve the access of the poor, particularly women, child, small producers and workers, to basic services and economic resources.
